For most people, the idea of a healthy lifestyle revolves around getting fitter and shaping up.
Have you ever really thought about what it means to ‘get healthy’?
For most people, the idea of a healthy lifestyle revolves around getting fitter, and shaping up. For others, making healthier changes might revolve mostly around their diet, and how they can improve their eating habits. Now doing either of these things is going to have an impact on how you look, but if you’re thinking of making a change to your lifestyle, you also need to consider how those changes are going to make you feel too. After all, you are more than just what you look like!
At Wes Myron Fitness, we work with a lot of clients who have tried short term fixes like crash diets in the past, and found they struggle to maintain any results they gain. This can be really demotivating! Along with a team of experts, I developed my Elite Performance Lifestyle program to help my clients take a ‘whole person’ approach to a healthier lifestyle – we look at both exercise and nutrition, and how building healthy and sustainable habits in these areas will also transform your mental focus, motivation and sense of wellbeing. Being truly ‘healthy’ is about more than just what your body looks like – it’s about getting your mind in shape too!
Everyone will have different reasons for wanting to become healthier. For some, it might be a specific body goal that’s always been just out of reach, like tightening up those abs, or building strength in your arms. For others, it could just be the niggling feeling that how you’re living just isn’t doing you any favors. What I do know is that once you start to really focus on transforming your fitness, you will start to see huge benefits in areas you never thought possible.
Do you ever have that blurry headed feeling that your mind is just not keeping up? Perhaps you’ve always struggled to remain focused on achieving your goals, and burn out soon after starting things. It’s all too easy to make excuses for ourselves, like ‘Oh, that’s just how it is for me’, or ‘I’ve tried to get in shape but I’m just too busy’. Because the Elite Performance Lifestyle plan doesn’t just focus on the workouts but every aspect of nutrition, sleep, and mindset too, you’ll start to find old habits are transformed. I guess most people could pinpoint a couple of things about their bodies they’d like to improve on to make them feel more confident. What you find once you start making healthier choices all round, is that actually, what you look like is actually not as important as how you feel overall – and how you’ll start to feel overall is… GREAT!
Body confidence starts from within. It’s no good having the best abs on the planet if you’re still worrying about some other part of your body. We help our clients to gain an inner confidence which comes from making great choices. When you start to see your whole body become stronger, leaner, and fitter it makes standing tall and proud that bit simpler.
